Alright, so i picked up my TBSS with the intention of it being a family and toy hauler. Its hard to get the lady, kid and dogs in an extended cab S10.
I have a 18' aluminum bass tracker. its light, dont know the exact weight, but i could easily tow it with the v8 s10 in OD without worry. i also have a 16' utility trailer that is used to haul everything that wont fit in a truck bed. I do tow frequently. The boat stayed hooked to the truck almost all summer. we were on the water 75% of weekends.
My concern here is that im reading a lot of issues about a marginal TBSS cooling system. which is one thing i was hoping to get away from with my v8s10.
Should i go ahead and get an aftermarket larger radiator and call it done and never worry about running hot and overheating or am i being a little to cautious.
Everyone gets a little bitchy when you gotta pull over and let the truck cool off or when you have to turn the AC off on the long hills.
EDIT: the tbss has a PCM of nc brake duct trans cooler and LS1 e-fans.
