Getting it cleaned, should be fine after that hopefully? (not getting stuck going into limp mode etc) Spoke with gm customer service and they basically said there was nothing they could do for me even though other vehicles were having the exact same issue and got a recall letter. Also, has anyone ever used a tb spacer, more specifically, thnking about the varaam tb spacer wedge. thanks

Not sure what your dilema is, are you having problems? You where not specific about whats going on. Is it going into limp mode, the wording doesnt sound like that.

Skip the TB spacer, they dont make any measurable HP gains.

yall dont think the wedge will help to change the angle of the throttle body so the air shoots through the intake manifold more? you can tell that the stock tb is not aligned fully with the manifold and if the angle is adjusted it helps you to achieve WOT more true. Walter- in the parentheses i said it was getting stuck/going to limp mode. Been clean for almost a week and with the right o2 sensor and a new kn air filter, it seems fine. The only problem i'm having now is that the CEL is on for two tb codes. they are P0121, P060E. What are they if anyone knows btw

Not sure about your problem but...

The intake manifold has airflow ramps that are aligned with the throttle body airflow ramps, designed to force the airflow to maintain high velocity for low end torque. The 83% TPS limit makes the mechanical throttle opening as close to max flow as it can get (because of the airflow ramp channels).

If you were to force the TB to open fully it would actually flow less air overall, unless you port out the ramps in the throttle body and remove the airflow hump inside the intake manifold. Anyway, the throttle body will not open to full mechanical WOT unless you use a non-vortec car PCM (easier said than done).

They are related to the throttle position sensor. Did you have the TB ported? Did you see the codees before or after you cleaned the TB?

the codes were there before i had it cleaned, not sure if they were there before the first limp mode but they are now, no limping around has happened since cleaning though so im stoked on that
