A i6 with exhaust sounds likes supra.. I'm not kidding either lol

 

My buddy has an exhaust on his. Not just the res. delete either. Sounds fart canish.

 

I'm just cutting off the resonator and leaving stock muffler.I'm doing it more for looks than sound.

 

Just do it, cleans up the back end a ton. I would have done it on my 02, but I went with the Magnaflow dual catback instead.

 

I deleted the resonator for a girl on a budget. Her I6 resonator must have more solid pieces in it, because it was rattling like crazy. She was worried about the sound, and was pleasently suprised how quiet it still was, and the back end looks tons better without the resonator sticking out in view. We even reused the stock tip. Just do it, if you don't like it, your only out 20-30 bucks.

Just watched and listened to some videos on youtube and some sounded awful.

 

Are you sure they were videos of deleted resonators and not mufflers. Alot of people get them confused. Like I said, deleting the resonator barely makes a difference.

 

I had a chambered 3" Magnaflow cat back with no res & it sounded good. It wasn't to loud at all, but still nothing like the V8s sound...
