So during the installation for my HID fogs, they wouldn't snap in, so I lubed the part that twists into place with a little vaseline. I'm pretty sure that some got on the bulb. I know the process is to clean with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, but I also read that Vaseline is corrosive to bulbs?? Should I even bother cleaning with rubbing alcohol, or what?

^^

YES... They're finally good and in, but I'm 99.9% sure vaseline got on them.

I haven't turned them on outside of the 30ish seconds of making sure they turned on/worked after installing.

You got to unscrew the bottom part of the housing, snap them in then screw it back on. This will solve your problem
