My 09 TBSS has a loud thump or heavy sort of rattle which seems to come from the drivers side front maybe the A pillar or somewhere. It is apparent over RR tracks or heaved pavement.
I seem to recall a post on this site some time ago discussing this problem. I also seem to recall no one had found the cause. The dealer as the truck now and has heard the rattle but is claiming he has no way to find it since the truck can not be driven 45 mph on the hoist.
Anyone have any idea what the cause of this noise is?
Thanks for your help. Steve

The noise has been identified. The brake pedal pivot bushing was cracked and sort of loose allowing the brake pedal to move side to side violently when the truck traversed tracks or uneven pavement where one front wheel hit before the other. Chevy replaced the entire brake pedal assembly and the noise is gone.
