I took the serpentine belt off and the ac belt. noise stopped and I figured out the noise was coming from the AC clutch. Anyone know the part number for an AC clutch?Sounds like a pulley or possibly bad water pump bearing. Does it change sound at higher rpm?
i did this and found out it was the ac clutch, thanks.Pull the belts off and spin each pulley individually.
Rockauto may sell it alone and I know I’ve seen folks replace just that. Of course special tools are involved. Or you buy a whole new compressor…. Yeah seems like changing the whole compressor is the way to go, i’ve been having ac problems in the past so hopefully this will fix that too.Rockauto may sell it alone and I know I’ve seen folks replace just that.
