I believe a tech2 tool with a 06 LT / 07 3ss vin depending on your year...

Then purchase the sir-coil (clockspring) and the wheel with a few misc cables..

do i have to find a steering wheel out of an SS or will one out of any TB work?

my uncle has 2 scan tools (he owns a mechanican place) and i asked him about reflashing the BCM and he said he didnt think he could. something about having to pay GM for that right, and he didn't see a need to pay that cost. is he mistaken?

Any gm wheel (same style /size) will work... ie- trucks, suvs, etc..

It has to be the tech2 tool and the codes you need will be on the GM/TIS web-tech site..
