So Tony they stepped up and I am going in tomorrow to have them check out the system on my belltech lowered TBSS. So maybe they will make a new bend or something.Wish me luck.Just wanted to let you know.

ok now i can let the cat out of the bag. more than 2 weeks ago i sent a pm to slp and pretty much made me feel like it was my fault and there was no probs with their systems. I then e mailed a vendor told him look the kits are messed up and they dont clear and just wait off on selling them because i can see someone getting hurt. Well no email back from them so i sent another e mail and the vendor blew that off also. So i said wait i will e mail them about the kit from my other e mail address maybe their e mail is down. Sure enough in a matter of a hour i got back 2 emails abotu the slp kit how well it fists and he will have them in stock very soon at the best price but yet ignoring my past e mail about the probs that pissed me off even more. All about sales and he knew this was a problem and still sold them. Then on the other site I told him on the post str8 up the same thing again and hes like oh yah ill talk to slp.

Ya I saw a issue when no stats were given on the system. I would think performance gains would sell more products, not hide the issue of a F. up. Seems that the fuckin valance is what this kit was all about in the fist place.

Best route would probably be to either wait for someone else to come out with a valence and then put together your own dual setup for around $400 or go with the Borla system. At least you know there is quality there.

for 1000 bucks i think a system should be bolt in ready not have to spend another couple of hundred on prep work. im still trying to hunt down the company that makes the rear valance that way can get it here fix the probs and get a mold that actually is a bolt in deal

honestly it just looks like the body shop didnt sand down the back part enough.Like I said before somewhere. These dont come ready to install they need some prep work.Like the back side need to be sanded down. And if your using the tape like it looks like he did you HAVE to use the pins.Other wise its gonna look just like that.
Or you can have the body shop glue it on.But if you go that route getting it off is going to be a bitch when the time comes. So really it comes down to the body shop doing a good job.
So not only are u paying 900-1000k for a system from SLP, but u now have to pay a bodyshop to modify it? thats assanine.

dancemfSS,

Are you POS SS on Tbss.com? If so, I am glad that they got you straightened out. But don't be getting bitchy at me over there for pointing out obvious defects in SLP manufacturing. Them always blaming it on the install is BS! For $1000, there is no reason the system should not be an easy bolt in and the valance should fit perfectly the first time without the use of some ugly pins. Face it, they rushed this system to market and are feeling some of the pressures of doing so. They got you fixed because you were local, what about all the other poor shmucks who wasted there money on this system? They have to pay more installation/body shop fees to fix what should be right in the first place?

SLP should come out and say all this, but they won't. It will be up to the average consumer to suffer through all of this BS. I speak up over there because I am not afraid of speaking my mind about something, whereas there are plenty of other people who will bitch and moan to themselves and feel alone in their struggles with the crappy system.

Just curious, but how many HP you pick up for that $1000?

I enjoy my SLP exhaust... the first place I got to do the valence was the muffler shop. Needless to say they are no body shop. LOL... When I get the key scratches fixed on my car I'm going to get the body shop to fix the valence too... I don't mind paying the extra to get the good look, I like the sound too. WBH SS on the other site obviously has a great body shop because they did an awesome job on his valence. No pins and it sits flush. It looks great, you just gotta get the right body shop to do it. Plus any gaps and things are far more obvious on silver than black. I love having a black SS. Ha!
