I ended up putting a bolt/nut in for a quick fix.

 

I haven't done it but am thinking of doing it before it breaks lol. I saw it on another thread so i cant take the credit.:cheers1:

 

Crawled under there today and saw the linkage hanging down. Fairly fast fix, just remove the "arm" from the trans and drill off the attachment point so you can get a bolt through.

 

Ya i should at least keep a bolt in the glove box.

I'll post a pic tomorrow. I drilled and installed SS bolts, washers, and nylon nut. I tried the license plate s#^@, dont waste your money on that crap. Too flimsy for my parnoid mind.

 

I tried the license plate hardware myself and it didn't seem to work for me. I went with a stainless bolt/washer/nut combo. As for keeping a bolt in the glovebox...the factory attachment point needs to be drilled off so I'd keep some wire or zip tie to make it home. I was less than three miles from home so I had free towing with my insurance. Yes, it was a flatbed.lol

Btw, do not tighten it down tight. Allow for some play and use blue loctite on your nut.

 

Or use a nylon lock nut. I just installed the ATF pin and it works great. Mine wasn't broken I just decided to fix it before it broke.

 

I need the black lever in the picture above if anyone has an extra one or knows the part number..:cheers1:
