Alright i finally got vid of my exhaust. It is from a cell phone but it still sounds ok. The pics are of the res cut off then with the 3in welded in. But i'm sure you could have figured that out. LOL

Sounds great! I never removed the resonator when I got mine but I did the short magnaflow! Man I wished I had done that 16 months ago! Oh well, sounds good!

I forgot before but it has a hooker supercomp muffler also. It sounds way better in person. Maybe i'll get a good camera and see if it sounds better.

Yah it's a little loud in the cab but not too obnoxious. They did it for $30.

How about driving i have heard a few people say that they get bad exhaust drone right around 45-50 mph

Yah that's what i was talking about. i drones a bit but it doesn't bother my wife so it can't be too bad. lol

did you have a local shop do it? did you bring them the parts or just drop the truck off? I called a couple places in town and the cheapest quote i got was 65-100$ kind of a large gap if you ask me. times like this i wish i could weld.

mine was 70$ to take off and put 3" pipe with the stock tip back on.. took him about 25 min to do... sounds much better but does drone a bit..

anyone switch mufflers after the resonator delete? any better sound/less drone ect..

So what would sound better? Resonator removed or Muffler? I heard Muffler removed in person yesturday and it sounded amazing below 4k. From a distance, it sounded sorta..iffy..i'm not sure how to explain the poppy sound.

Yah a local shop did it. They do all my stuff. They did as zenkar said, just cut the res off and welded a piece of 3inch in with the factory tip.

That sounds awsome! Exactly what is your setup? Just remove the rear section or did you change the muffler too?
