Buy an FSR for about $550 shipped to your door and be done. Excellent quality and perfect fit.

I installed a FSR radiator in my 2007 TBSS. It fits better than the stock radiator, looks great, holds more water, most important --- it keeps my temperatures way down in Houston Texas. Well worth the investment.

95*-- Humidity 88 NO AIR ON it will run between 186-188*
With the air on it runs 10-12* hotter
160* stat, dual spal fans 12" and a 13"
Remote Trans cooler not through radiator
One bottle of water wetter (worth the $11) another 3*
When it is under 80* the truck will run under 180* on the freeway
One of the earlier threads said to use a piece of foam tubing insulation between the radiator and the plastic cover over the space where the hood latch is. That too made a few degrees difference. Cost is about $6.00
Hope this helps

my problem is my truck runs hot with a/c on.usually on stop an go traffic i get temps between 217-228 and with the a/c off am usually around 194-205

Can you tell more about the insulation between the radiator and plastic cover and how that brings temperature down?

Ummm.....

Are you sure you should be using an additive in the FSR radiator? I know Ron Davis specifically tells people not to use them (additives) in theirs. :dunno:

So what about going from the dexacool back to green antifreeze in the FSR?

Just doing homework before I pull the trigger....
