R1 Concepts Carbon Geomet Rotors Rotors
Manufactured for European and heavy vehicles, our High Carbon iron formulations (Molybdenum, Chromium, and Carbon) enhances dampening characteristics, while providing high strength, and increased thermal conductivity compared to standard discs, while providing high strength, and increased thermal conductivity compared to standard discs, which increases durability. Engineered with High Carbon Castings to enhance noise dampening characteristics, while providing strength, stability, durability, and performance. Each rotor is engineered to match the OE vane configuration, including OE split-cored technology to ensure proper and maximum heat dissipation. Additionally, all cores are dipped with a specifically formulated paint in order to provide a smoother finish inside the vane structure.

The smooth finish will improve air flow as well as reduce the amount of machining required in order to properly balance the finished rotor during the mill-balancing process. Each rotor casting is sent to our state of the art machining facilities, where it is processed to the tightest tolerance in the market today. The the rotor is prepared with a non-directional finish to promote a faster and more even brake pad bed-in, along with quieter and smoother stops. Each rotor passes a 100% electronic inspection station that measures over 20 attributes to ensure that each rotor meets OE specifications. This further guarantees that each and every rotor delivered to you is trouble free.

Coating
These are specifically coated with a patented paint to form a durable and attractive silver-gray finish that fights rust far better than other conventional paint or zinc coatings. Each rotor is processed dry, shipped dry, and ready to install without any additional preparation. An average brake job takes 1.25-2.5 hours per axle. Without the need to clean an oil covered rotor, this saves a safely swept away by the friction material with no harmful effect.

How do the Optimum OE and Ceramic pads compare to the OEM TBSS pads? I currently have a set of your drilled/slotted Geomet rotors. Looking to replace the Hawk LTS pads I currently have. They stop great, but have lots of squeal.

The Optimum OE pads are formulated to be closest to the OEM brake pads from Chevy. The Ceramic pads offer the least amount of brake dust. The Hawk LTS pads will be more aggressive than these pads.
