I've had RP in mine since about 1400 miles, and I'm not at 17K, and the rear has been dead quiet. That includes 3 road trips, and countless 1/4 mi passes, both at the track, and on the street! :D

mine whines around 30mph...I had one of my Tech's from work ride/drive it while I was in it and he said no worry right now..its just really annoying!
say some RP will clear this up???
A whine at any steady speed is not clutch chatter, it's either bearing problems or gear not setup with the proper clearances. Putting better lube will help, but it's not the fix.

If I use the GL 100 lube do I need to put the additive in or is it the miracle cure on its own. I'm running 2 bottles of GM fluid (8oz) in my current lube and it still moans a little and occasionally grind on hard turns...though it's not too bad. I just ordered a gallon of the VP.

FYI-VP is no longer making lubricants(gear oil)---so what they have in stock is it!! They(VP-Texas--210-635-7744) do have a special on the remaining product---1 case(12 qts) of GL-100/$50.00 if anybody is interested.

I just bought three quarts last Thursday. I'm hoping to put it in this weekend. Question...when refilling, do you stop when it begins overflowing from the top hole?? I just wanted to confirm.
