So i bought my 08TBSS like 2 months ago and it already had the wheels either powdercoated or painted black... i cant tell. and 1 rim had a very small nick where you could see some silver.... Now its getting worse and worse, bigger chunks 1.5 inches long are coming off each wheel! Im thinking its just a cheepo paint job because i dont think the powdercoat would come off that easy. BUT long story short im looking for a fix, what are your opinions on a DIY fix? id be fine with taking them back to polished alum. BUT HOW??
Otherwise i guess i could get them sandblasted and recoated? but how much would i be looking at?
Thanks Guys:dunno:

So, im guessing touching up the spots would just make it worse huh?
Damn, im just trying to avoid dropping 500 bucks to get them blasted and coated....

Some people hate this idea... But plasti-dip does pretty good for 6-8 months... Not sure how long paint lasts.
