I was attempting to drop the transmission pan and do a filter and fluid change and add the Dorman pan with drain plug. The problem is I have headers and there doesn't seem to be a way you get the pan passed the crossover pipe. I can't drop the pan low enough to remove it. The bolts on the headers are so f*cking tight and rusted I have a feeling they will strip or break if I try and remove them. So before I try and loosen/remove part of the header piping, has anyone successfully dropped the pan with headers intact? Is there a trick I'm not seeing?

Thanks

You can not drop the transmission pan without removing the ypipe .

You can do a manual flush and change out the fluid from the transmission cooler lines, search the bucket transmission flush method for more details
