I'm going to be painting something on the SS (you'll have to wait and see :biggrin2:) and I'm going to have quite a bit of silverstone metallic paint (and all of the necessary items to paint plastic) left over and I was thinking about painting the XM/OnStar antenna to match. First off, what do you guys think? Second, do you think this would severely reduce the signal strength?

Not sure if it would stick that good or not. It might. I would not think it would reduce the signal strength, but its paint and you never know. I would just leave it black....but that is me.

I'm kind of on the fence about it. If I do it though, I'm going to sand it smooth, lay down some plastic adhesion promotor, plastic primer, 2-3 coats of paint and some clear.

i would leave it black.... what are you painting? if your painting the black on the mirrors or someother black trim then you might want to paint it just to blend it in.
