ive seen tinted tail light and the night shades stuff, but has anyone painted them to match? I was thinking about painting them black except for the two circles and the reverse light.

hahaha i suppose i could be the lab rat for this one. Does anyone know where to buy an extra set of stock tails? or maybe i can get some black vinyl to get an idea.
The vinyl would prolly be the best to just test to see if its what you want. I've thought about doing something like that with the vinyl.

where is the best place to get some vinyl? autozone, walmart, menards, online? haha small town so thats about all i have for local options. im not sure if we have a sign shop around here or not.
I'd first try to see if you have a sign shop around. If not, I'd go online for some good quality stuff. I'll go up to the sign shop here and see if they can do something real fast for me to see how it would look. The shop here did both our TBSS's emblem inlays.

im going to go for a drive in a bit and see what i can find. if you get that done before i can figure something out post some pics so i can decide if i want to go with it.

just got off the phone with my cousin who lives in town, and he works at a local sign and graphics shop that mainly does stuff for businesses around town. Hes going to snag some black vinyl and come do my tails tomarrow. ill post some pics as soon as they are done.
Nice. Cant wait to see how it looks. I'll see how they do on this end here tmw as well.

any ideas for what we could do for the light bulbs? I've seen these but have heard mix reviews about them... plus they are a good chunk of change for bulbs. http://www.stylinconcepts.com/parts.aspx/partfamilyid/1687

ive seen some trailer leds converted but it was a lot of work to get them in the housing. Im going to snoop around somemore and find the best route. hopefully we can come up with some sort of custom tail lights before too long

Funny I had the same Idea about that. At first thought vinyl would be cheaper but the way the tail lights are there are quite a few compound curves that do no lend to putting vinyl on especialy around the edges. So I would personally mask off and paint them. They are small and shouldnt cost a lot to paint. May be I will do mine and then see how they look.

Thats the only thing that I was concerned about (but not really). They guy here said it would be no problem, but now I wonder since you said something. I guess I'll see how ballsdeep pans out, then I'll go from there. Trying to stay away from the whole "paint" deal, but I guess if I was to see some painted and really liked it, I'd go for it.
