As jp mentioned you need clearance at the rack. If you drop just the passenger side there's enough room for the replacement. You need a serious torque wrench though, as the main crossmember bolts need to go to 177#. It's a good time to check bearings and replace rod bolts, while you're looking at them. Good Luck.

Also, the AC compressor bolts to the pan, so those bolts have to be removed, though the compressor itself can remain in place. If you're going to the C6 pan, the pressed plug in the block will have to be removed for the new dipstick location.

Just a update... I did the job yesterday on my friends lift, the whole job was done in less then 3hrs and it was a very easy job.. thank for all the info guys!!

I DO I DO!! Thanks to Truckshop and his skilled and trained staff!! Awesome work. Was real simple though. Had a couple issues so I brought it in to get repaired instead of "shadetreeing" it.

I did the oil pan swap over the past weekend... worked out great though I wish I had a lift lol C6 pan FTW...also the leftcoast32 conversion cross member kit is extremely nice
