[Nightmare]

I accepted a job yesterday in the Mobile area. My fiancé and I have been looking for places to live on the east side of the bay. I don't know anyone but a great aunt in Fairhope. Does anyone live around the area? Any truck/race scene? Any heads up on the area?

I live in Pensacola about 45 minutes away. The car scene is decent here, not too sure about mobile. Theres a few more tbss's in the ft Walton, fl area too but they rarely come out.

I have a lot of family in the area...the Daphne/Spanish Fort is a nice place to live and its just across the causeway from Mobile and its about 45 minutes to an hour north of Gulf Shores.When it comes to the car/racing scene I don't know much about Mobile but Pensacola has a pretty good or at least it was good 2 years ago before I moved out of the area. Mobile used to have a drag strip but I'm not sure how long it was....no more than 1/8 mile. The next next closest track that I know of is Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt, FL. Thanks for the heads up guys. Im pretty pumped about moving more toward the water. My start date is Dec 5th. My fiance and I are coming down this weekend to find a place to start.

Damn man, now you are closer to Cruisin' the Coast! I am coastal MS, should be moving closer to the Ocean Springs area in the next year or two.

Ok..I got a place in Spanish Fort, right off the Bay bridge. We are moving our stuff in the day after Thanksgiving and I start my Dec 5th. Ill be there al little while by myself before my fiance comes down. We need to have a get-together soon! Who's down?
