Just curious how you guys feel about being magnacharged. Any problems with install, belt slip, leaks, etc...
Would you do it again ? Has it changed the reliability of your TBSS at all ? Do you trust your truck just as much as you did before you got blown

Would not change for anything! The truck just feels better then the day I got it! I would take a long road trip no problem! I don't have any concers, looking forword in the next year or so, to a stroker motor with the setup!

We love our supercharger. No issues and just keeps getting better as we add additional mods to it. Joe is a great source of info for any questions or help you need. Strong suggestion, if you ever plan on buying one, get it from Joe(Leftcoast32). Hes the best in customer service. We took a road trip from California to Colorado right after we had the maggie installed, no issues and gas mileage improved a little:) Plus you gotta love the looks on peoples faces when you get on it and hear the whine!

the only prob is the tranny on these trucks
Not saying it won't happen, but now have a few miles since the install and no issues. As a matter of fact, seems like it shifts better! Maybe because John at Maggie tuned it all:dunno:just know we love the damn thing! ............................Ross, are you having issues with yours or just agreeing from what you have read?

I spent the morning with Greg at Phoenix trans, awesome guy. The did servos on my trans. Hopefully the trans will hold up a bit longer with the servos. Built tranny and converter in the near future.

The belt pulley that you see the intake tube going around is the jack shaft pulley that drives the supercharger. The MagnaCharger for the TBSS is a front inlet rear drive setup. Here is a good picture with and without the intake tube installed.

Mark and Penny are having it installed on their TBSS with MagnaCharger and said it was a perfect fit with the inatke tubing like above.

Instead of starting a new thread... its probably safe to hyjack this one from 2007 :)

I'm a bit of a TBSS newbie but have read some posts/threads about the 112 "maggie" being an OK supercharger (good on low end but not so much at high RPM's). There was also a thread about waiting for the 1600 or 2300 kit to come out for the TBSS. When I looked on the Magnuson website... there seems like there is no such thing as a 1600. Is the 2300 coming? Is it any better? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Also... can a guy get a supercharger kit installed at sea level and drive it back home (3400ft) and not have to re-pully and re-flash the ECU?

Thanx...

Magnuson did our install with the 112 and they are located in Ventura CA. We then drove ours back to Denver, 5000ft above sea level. So, yes you can. We did change out our pulley because we wanted more boost and a few others have done the same. Not hard to do either after the first time and ya know what your doing from then on! You don't have to flash the ECU again either but you might have to tune accordingly!
If I am not mistaken, TVS has the 1900 and 2300. I have never heard that they had a 1600 but that's just me.
