I had mine on stock before the MagnaCharger and I loved the change in throttle response. You will need a new CAI as the stock silencer hit the servo on the side of the throttle body.
I have to disagree with the part about having to have a new CAI. I just installed the car LS2/LS7 throttle body and the silencer lies against the servo. Runs fine, the grommet on the silencer still even will sit on the bolt on the intake manifold that holds it in place.

LeftCoast '32 - I hope this doesn't sound disrespectful to you in any way, you are very knowledgeable on these subjects and the only reason I said this is because I have done it. Congrats on all your mods by the way... I'm sure it runs STRONG!!!!

You did better then me brother. No disrespect taken. I ended up cutting mine up because it hit and just made a new intake. I guess I didnt spend enough time trying to get it to work.
It's definately a tight fit, the silencer sits on top of the arm from the throttle body. Plus I was less woried about it because the engine cover helps hold things in place.

For what reason would you consider it? You will not gain HP. Slight increase in throttle response but that is about it.
ok, how much increase? are we talking instant response like some $250k sports car, or just a little?

MikeG is about right. I'd say a little more noticeable that slight, but after the increase in response... I think it pulls harder at higher RPMs like it's pulling more air in faster. It may just be in my mind, but I will see if it makes a diff. I'm going to the track friday to test the new throttle body and Granatelli wires.

You could probably just modify transient fueling and get an equal increase in throttle response.. Although it may flow a little bit more air than stock, it probably achieves the improvement because the tip-in throttle transients are not pig-rich.
