Hey guys whats up? Im new to this forum and I dont own an ss yet but I will very shortly? I have a quick question. I have an 05 c6 with a built and blown ls2 that puts down 670 to the wheels on 16lbs of boost with no meth. I want to put that motor in an ss. What year ss would it be easier to install in. Thanks

You want an 06, as it will have a compatible PCM (the newer years have a 54 tooth reluctor and different cam sensor).

yes, plug the vin into carfax and it will tell you year
...or if you don't have Carfax, you can put it in here to get the build date:

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

You can also find out the rarity of you particular set of options/color/year.
You have to scroll down after entering the VIN, sometimes it looks like nothing happened.

The easy way to check is:
If the crank sensor colors match (IE black or gray) then the engines will be comparable to swap.
Color meanings:
Black=24x
Gray 58x
The crank sensor is behind the starter.

Yeah, when I first entered my VIN I found out my truck was "born" on
my son's birthday. Now I can't ever sell it. :)
