Personally I would skip the 4L70 and put your money towards a 4L80 swap. Sounds like you're going for big power. My buddy is getting a stage 3 with triple disc billet converter. Installed with the conversion (he just supplied the core) I believe was in the $3600-$3800 range.

As for the wheels I think he had a set or knows of a set. Let me ask him.

I'm listening . I was leaning that way but my trans guy here scared me with the price and the swap.

Not that much ...... 650-700 I can't believe you can say that haha. I really like the LS with turbos . I just want a bad ass every day driver. Maybe mid 11's or anywhere bellow 12 would be nice.

mid 11s can be had with about 600whp. But I agree with the 4l80e. Do it once and do it right.

Everyone likes the 80's around here, but if your sticking with 30" tall tires, and you can handle spinning 2500rpm at 55-60...get yourself a TH400 and converter..2500 bucks will get you something to hold up to 1000hp or more and something you can beat the hell out of and free up a good chunk of money to put elsewhere. I mean cmon, leaving the line at 10psi, off a brake, carrying the front tires...christmas!

I know the trucks are a bit piggish, but 600whp should be high 10's all day.
