Only found 1 person in thr local area with the Scott Style hood, with you guessed it no hood pins. (Philly)

No worried at all about the install of them but putting pins through the hood or a large hole with a latch.

To follow-up from finding the other vendor offering Cowl hoods, it's glasstek. 2 and 4" fiberglass hoods. Made to order. Apparently service from there is top notch and shipped well. Nothing but positive reviews in dealing with that brand in the various top tbss groups on Facebook.

There is also a couple places in CA, on Instagram doing completely custom hoods. Taking a camaro zl1 hood center section and welding and grafting it to the trailblazer hood. All steel construction.... I don't do Instagram so you'll have to do your own searching.

("It" happens) on fg and cf hoods. Not really an issue on metal hoods.. possibly due to less flex and more consistent material thickness around aspects of factory locking latch. Then again, not having the latch seat properly or not shutting hood hard enough could cause a metal hood to fly-up too.

I do have these painted onto my hood. It's subtle and sometimes you can't even see it and then the light hits it just right. Of course a vinyl wrap is substantially cheaper too. View attachment 105119

I had Scott’s carbon fiber hood on my last TBSS for years and years. No hood pins. Just stock hood latch. Probably drove 200mph through 70mph head wind with no issue. Just make sure your hood latch is engaged properly. Never heard of any story’s about Scott’s hoods flying up.
