[Neverlift]

Hey all, I want to add some bottom end to the bose sound system. Anybody here running a JL Stealth Box?

I've had a few JL subs in previous cars and loved the way they sound, I also love the idea of not giving up much cargo space How is the fit, finish and color match of the Stealth box in the SS? Also, any comments on the 10w3 speaker? I notice that it covers that right hand compartment, is that a major problem?

I'm running the JL Stealthbox. Hits really good for a single 10" sub. I'm running a JL Audio 500/5 amp pushing 250 watts RMS to to the sub. I didn't bother bolting the box down per the instructions. With the shape of the box and added thickness of the carpeting, it fits snugly in the cargo hole and doesn't shift out/around. Plus I can easily pull the box out whe n I want to access the air controls, so no relocating them either.

There are more options than the JL box. I have a custom box made by http://www.subthump.com/ . They make them for our cars and I think I paid only 150ish including shipping. Quality is great, and I strongly recommend them considering the HUGE pirce difference.

Subthump box

What color of carpet did you get with that subthump box? I'm wanting to order one of their boxes but I'm not sure what color to go with.

I'm one of the JL crowd.
altho not a TBSS owner I am using a complete TBSS Bose system in my 03 S10 Blazer 2dr.

Ive been using this for about 4 yrs but recently upgraded amp and sub to both JL.The amp is an XD 600/1 and sub is a 10w6.

I had considered the 500/1 and shallow mount 10 inch but decided if I was going to up grade would go all out.(old sub was a Kicker Comp 10 and Phoenix Gold 250/1.)
The upgrade required a change in sparetire/rims to a deeper rim,so I used one of my old C5 17 inch thinspokes .Amp is mounted on the backside for a complete stealth install. I ended up with a spare 600/1 JL amp as well as the Phoenix gold and kicker sub if anyone is interested

I also have a w6 but in my tbss its in a vented tuned box and the low end bass is amazing. I have the 500/1 but the caps are burnt and needs to be repaired so im running a Hifonics Thor 1000w amp for now. And its much neater then the pic now..
