I just want to port the stock heads or this may just be easier.

My question is will this surfice for a straight swap of heads from stock to these or would it be better to just have the stock ones CNC'd? And would I need any other parts (springs, pushrods etc...) or would I still be able to use the stuff off the stockers. I'm not looking for some crazy HP/TQ #'s from just porting the heads as I'm sure the gains will be minimal, but there is more to the whole plan for mods.

My plan is to do heads, cam, headers, efans and some tranny work here in the very near future. Of course I'll have it all retuned too! I also want to put myself inline for the blower sometime down the line (hopefully sooner than later), but with so many options out there (for heads and cam), I'm confused. I don't want to go to overboard with the heads and cam; that's why I want to just either port the stock ones or just get a set of these. I hope I'm making sense for you guru's out there. I'm looking for something that will have the least amount of down time. I just want a good idea of where to go with this as I want to do this stuff all at once and set up for the blower after. Thanks again for anyone's help!:biggrin2:

Also what's a good cam to use with this type of set up if you were going to use these heads or just port the stockers?

You can get PRC or Patriot Performance LS6 heads for dirt cheap, under $1000 with stock running gear, and they flow close to 300cfm. They are the best bang for the buck. Hand porting will get you mild gains. If you dont know what you are doing, you can really fuck stuff up too, especially if you plan on going forced induction

I would stick with a good name shop for ported heads. There is more to the sale then just the initial purchase.
