I was attempting to install a sub and amp to my Bose 6 disc changer today and I've failed. Can't get the amp to even turn on. I used a PAC C2A-GM24 to get a remote turn on and RCA outs to the amp. I connected everything as per the PAC instructions and nothing.

Anyone have any trouble shooting advice?

Thanks.

Jump the positive wire from the amp into the remote and see if it turns on. If it does then your remote wire isn't working.

Yep that remote wouldn't work for me either. Some amps can turn on with 5V but some newer ones need at least 12. Jump it an see.

Right mine worked off the pink wire. I just plugged that interface in also.

That worked. LED on the amp comes on but no action from the sub. Pulled the RCA's and got the thump from disconnecting them, so I think they are working fine. Idea's about that?

So there is a different wire I should use for the remote turn on? Pink one from somewhere? Of course I have to figure out why the sub isn't playing any music first. lol Lucky me.

Thanks again.
