While porting the stock throttle body, (major part throttle response improvement), I noticed the following things.

1. A ridge right at the entrance of intake behind the Throttle Body? Is there enough material to port this flat and smooth without grinding through?

2. A hole in the path of the airflow at back of manifold, about 1" or so. Anyone know what this is for? Would there be any benefit in changing size?

3. Anything else I can do to improve flow without cutting it in half?

Thanks,
Walter

Edited my original post, the ridge is behind the throttle body, in the plastic. Was a typo!

Curious to what that 1" hole inside the manifold is for, and you say to remove it?

What you recommend, is the best way to remove it? Wasnt sure if it was for some vaccuum port or some kind of resonance removal or what?
