SO I pulled my Crank Pulley out to get it ready for install this weekend and noticed the inside of the bore that is machined is all rusty. Now I am sure I can clean this up, but How/Why would this be this way, as I was under the assumption these were ALuminum and Stainless. I guess That must not be a stainless Steel for the Hub as I was thinking, but has anyone thats got one of these Pulleys, had this or seen this problem?

This is just more of a curiosity thing more than anything.

The hub is steel on the IW balancer, the light surafce rust you see will come right off and is not pitted. Just use an scotch-brite and then put a little stain clear or another coating on the surface to preserve it. It is due to moisture in the air is all.

Use a green Scotch-Brite on it and you will see that it will come right off. The seal will not have any issues on the hub of the balancer.
