06 AWD SS, ignition coils 5 and 7 were not firing correctly. A friend had a meter that links with the frequency of the coils. 5 and 7 had a very rapid frequency. I changed both coils and the truck came back from the dead. Full power, no hesitation and what felt like a misfire was gone. This has not thrown a light or a misfire code. About an hour into putting some miles on her the same issue came back, same 2 coils. Any advice?

Brand new plugs and wires, no arking.

What brand of coils did you get? Crap happens a you could have won the jackpot of two new junk coils.
If coils are know good I’d start looking at the wiring.

You could try swapping thpose 2 coils to different cylinders and see what codes you get

I swapped them and had no issue. The problem stayed at those cylinders.

That would lead me to believe that the wiring leading to the coils has an issue

I'm digging into it this weekend, I figured check grounds and start there.

I just bought coil pack harnesses because of insulation cracking on the wire.

I haven't seen anything suspicious with the coil wiring, yet.

Pinned for e-fans? Check the ecu plug if so. Grounds also. Don't just check add.
