tpms is the tire pressure monitoring system, but who cares? it will only be while going down the track.....

I have not ordered them yet. I plan to order them soon as traction is real bad right now. I have to get the street tires done first. I am having a set of rears widened and then 4 of them are off to chrome. I will be running the BFG KDW's in 295/45 rear and 265/50 front on the street.

17x8 25mm will stick out a lot more than our stock wheels.

I'm not sure how traction is such a big issue for you guys. I'm going 1.79 on the stock rubber with 32 psi. I feel I can squeeze a 1.75 with low 20 psi or so.

even at stock height doesnt matter for me. The maggie is giving so much torque off the line with the new conveter its just a spin show.

just had to put this out there

you guys are going thru the traps at 103-110 mph on a stock tire and as you will see you need a lot less tire to be in the power band

our 4.10 gear set up with 1.0 gear ratio (3rd gear)
255 50 20- rpm at 105 mph 4818 rpms
275 50 17 rpm at 105 mph 5199 rpms
275 40 17 rpm at 105 mph 5642 rpms

now for the 1/8 mile people times from 80-88 mph ill just do a 84 mph set up
255 50 20 rpm at 84 mph 3854
275 50 17 rpm at 84 mph 4162
275 40 17 rpm at 84 mph 4510

As you can see the stock tires are no where in our peak power in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile the 275 50 17 are better but 275 40 17 will put you in the sweet spot going thru the lights. Especailly for the 1/8 mile time. True wont look at cool but will get the job done

the 275 40 17 mounted on 17x8s are like 50 pounds lighter than the stock tire/rim combo also.
