The two I would want EFI Live and HPT are a little more than that I think...what are my options? I want to be able to change fuel tables, timing, trans pressures, e-fans, stabilitrak parameters, etc...

BTW: It's a 2007, so I think my options may be limited.

since this questions been answered now I have a question hahaha, How bad is the predator flashpaq tuner? Im only doing an HSRK, Tune and in the near future a CAI and THATS IT! will a pred be sufficient till I get the CAI or even with the CAI?

Its ok, if you have someone build custom tunes for it. But by the time you dish the money out for that you could just get HPT or EFILive.

My HPT is on the way!

I would wait for the SuperChips I know for certain (seeeing with my own eyes) that they produce a smoother curve with >20 FT-Lbs all the way up and about 25-30 HP, while getting better mileage to boot.

I am not positive, but I dont think you can touch Stabilitrack with any of the tuning suites????

You can adjust the torque parameters for the reduced torque mode, it's able to be set for each gear independantly. If I am looking at it right, setting all to non reduced power parameters will do the trick when stabilitrac kicks in and the engine power will not be affected.

BTW: I have my Superchips programmer as well. The testing is going good but I think they got a little aggressive on 2-3 WOT shift speed, hits 6700-6800 RPM and rev limiter kicks in before the shift, which is supposed to be at 6500-6600 or so. I think I'll data log it tomorrow and verify the actual parameters with my HPT.

I'm feeling like a little kid on christmas right about now!

If thats your only concern, use your HPT and change the 2-3 WOT shift to 6500 and keep the limiter at 6600.... Other wise you shoud be fine with the tune side....:2cents:

So does HP tuners come with any tunes for the SS or do you have to
do them custom yourself? Like does it come with a better than stock base map?
No... He tuned it with the superchips and has HPT as well.

Apparently the superchips is not locked out, so therefor you could open the tune with hpt and make small changes. If it is locked, then i guess hes just data logging only with the hpt.

I think the point is he is beta testing for superchips and the end product needs to be for people without HPT.

It's the initial superchips tune for 2007 TBSS. I was able to read entire and save it with the HPT scanner, but that does not mean the retail tune will not be locked. The tune I have will probably be revised before SuperChips releases the product.

For all I know, it may as well even have a custom OS that HPT does not pickup on.

Yes and no. The SuperChips programmer lets you manually edit shift speeds for each gear, as well as shift pressures for each gear, so I don;t have to use HPT to change anything.

My plan is to have superchips revise the programmers performance mode tune and test with it. Their in gear rev limiter settings are 6750 and the shift speed is set just slightly too high (shift points are set by MPH, not by RPM).

I haven't really decided if I will edit the SuperChips tune with HPT or just make my own, so for now I am using the SueperChips tune.

So can we get a consensus as to what tuning software is the cream? With the higher end software can you tune multiple vehicles with it (such as GTO, TBSS, Vette, new 09' camaro etc)?

How can you educate yourself on how to tune, how to adjust torque management etc?
