IM FUCKING PISSED. ok heres the 411 on whats going on. in may i bought 2 hid kits off ebay. 8000k fogs and lows. one month to the day after i got them installed my lows quit working. i bought kits with a 2 year warrenty just incase this happened. after a weeks wait i got my replacement kit. just installed it and one headlight works and the other doesnt. im thinking its the ballast because the headlight that doesnt work just flickers once when you turn them on.

do you think i should just got a refund? or wait to see if the next ballast works? also do you think this will be a on going problem?

p.s. my fogs work great and havnt had a single problem with them. :chair:

i bought mine off ebay also have had them in for atleast 6 months havent had a problem yet.could be the ballast maybe

hate to say it, but you get what you pay for. hids on ebay that are cheap , also have cheap ass ballasts. this is the reason for the flickering most people get from the cheap ebay sets. you need to spend atleast $250 or more for a good set. just my :2cents:

im starting to agree with that..... which is why i made sure to get a kit with a warrenty. i still have 2 years of warrenty left but im at the point where it would be less of a headache to return them and get a better kit.

I realize these are cheaper alternatives to some of the higher priced models, but they come with a 1 year warranty. If you are not happy with them, you are only out the $94, instead of the $150-200 of some other cheap kits. As with any part, cheap or expensive, things can go wrong. Who is to say that you won't get a bad ballast or lamp with the $250-$500 kits, whereas you can run for 2+ years without issue with the cheap kit.

It is a crapshoot. If I had the extra money I would possibly go with the name brand kits just for peace of mind, but you never know.

well i just got a email from the guy i bought the kit from and he wants 40$ deposit until i send him the bad ballast back. i told him to pack himself since the kit has a 2 year warrenty and he said in the post that the kit has a .3% failure rate. He can either send me a new ballast and ill return the shitty one or he can refund my money. ill probably get in on the GB depending how others like it if i get a refund. who knows im just pissed off

that is some shitty customer service. You need to post up his info so no one else gets screwed by him. If it has a 2 year warranty, stand behind it...Just tell him that you are now part of that .3% and send you the new ballast.

finally got the guy to call me. hes some asian dude that barely speaks english. Hes sending me a new ballast which i should get tomarrow. I told him that if this one fails me or doesnt work when i recieve it that i want a refund and he agreed to that. My fog lights are still working great so i dont know what to think of the whole deal. I have 8000k and they look badass but I might switch to 6000k. :dunno:

what did you do to get your foglights to lock in place? My lights fit fine in the hosuing, but when i try to turn them to lock into place i get a crunch sound, and when i take the bulb out, i noticed i keep breaking the ceramic coating on the wire? any suggestions??
