Hey guys,

The TrailBlazer may be my daily ride but I have a few 'requirements' for a daily ride and would like some input since we all have very diverse car backgrounds.

Help me pick a new car/truck with the following:

1. Automatic or manu-matic trans. (wife will drive vehicle)

2. Fun, fast...fast enough for a daily

3. Ability to drive in the snow....obviously RWD has some negative benefits, but a pickup truck like a Silverado / Avalanche can hold it's own with 4X4 or the right tires.

4. Seats (4) comfortably. 2 adults and 2 kids at LEAST.

So....I have a few ideas, and have (3) categories

FWD
slobalt SS
HHR SS
Cruze

RWD
Mustang (new or old, maybe a 2003-2004 terminator Cobra..hmm)
Genesis coupe
Camaro (wife likes this one, I personally can live without it)
GTO (used)
Pickup Silvy or Avalanche (What do you guys think about a Silverado SS for my winter beater? LOL)

AWD
Mazdaspeed6 (manual = nogo)
New Buick of some sort (Regal GS)
*Ford Taurus SHO* (I sort of like this..but STEEP price tag

Any thoughts appreciated, just window shopping here.

What's out there that I'm missing or SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?? :popcorn3:

I heard somewhere the new Colorados are coming with 5.3s. Maybe an idea. Other than that, an auto WRX?

I got the wife a new Mazda6 last summer. She had one before and loved it, so I couldn't talk her into a G8GT.

It is pretty effin good in the snow man. FWD, 6 spd tranny with bigger v6 in it. Automatic. Price wise its nice also.

The first thing I thought were the Taurus SHO and a (Dont hateme for this) Ford Flex with the Ecoboost, on 22s, slammed. HAHAHAHAHAHA

The new cruze is turbo charged. You can get an LTZ model for like $24000.

However I also had a WRX. Its a nice car... The X has it now.

No hate at all, with wife and kids the Flex w/ EcoBoost is one of my top pics no joke.

I do personally like the G8 GT...a lot.

Teach your wife how to drive a manual and I have a Cobalt SS/SC for sale
Turbo Cobalt / HHR (automatic) are always on my mind especially b/c of HPTuners...... :)

2008+ WRX Wagon...Silly how much a turbo back exhaust, intake, and a good tune will do for it...
I also like the old Forrester XTs with the orignal STi motor......I could live with that 5pd manual.

---

On another note, I could see myself in a Jetta Sportwagen TDI.... but too much $$ for what it is at this point.

Budget? I'm guessing no more than $30k.

I agree with Esteban on the WRX. Solid platform. Big aftermarket.

I'd give a long look at a G8GT. If money allows G37 Coupe AWD.

Turbo, 6 speed, and less horsepower than what I just removed from my TrailBlazer (supercharger) LOL

140hp or something? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Can't answer that, mainly looking for new it seems, not sure though. May have to go to a GM PEP car.

I don't want to say there is a budget, honestly. I mean if there is something worth waiting for---I have plenty of time.

I'm not sure I will be modding the next DD....

New or used?

Pixer is a Sprint store manager
Could really be either....

Yeah I prefer GM...always, but I am willing to venture out sometimes.

I need to see this car done right with 6spd auto with manu/tap shifts or something.

-----------------

Also have to bring the new Jeep Grand Cherokee with it's 8spd auto tranny as well....hmmm

Lastly, I have also considered the current Challenger in smurf Blue (I like the mustang in this color as well)
