Ok since the dyno day got cancelled and rescheduled Thursday at 9:00AM I have done a couple things.

First is a ton of research on the original owners' mods:

  • PCM of NC - Rob Cam (220/228, .58x/.58x, @ .050″, 114 LSA) Did not have the right cam listed
  • PCM of NC - Brian Tooly Can Install Kit - BT Deluxe Install Kit
  • PCM of NC - Melling 10296 Oil Pump - 10296
  • PCM of NC - Pickup tube kit - P-150013
  • PCM of NC - Underdrive pully kit - TBSS - PBU1190-SS25
  • PCM of NC - V8 Trailblazer Brake Duct Mount Transmission Cooler Kit - V8 Trailblazer Brake Duct Mount Transmission Cooler
  • PCM of NC - 160 Thermostat - TBSS 160 Thermostat May have to replace. Engine is running 20+ degrees higher
  • PCM of NC - Trailblazer SS Pacesetter 1 3/4" Headers Armor Coat Ceramic Finish - Pacesetter Header
  • PCM of NC - 4 Inch PCM of NC One Piece w/LS7 4″ MAF - One Piece Intake
  • PCM of NC - Washer Tank Kit - P-080018
  • PCM of NC - Performance Wires
  • PCM of NC - Heat Socks for Plug Wires
  • PCM of NC - Trailblazer/Envoy Battery Cable Upgrade 5.3L/6.0L - Trailblazer Battery Cable Upgrade V8
  • PCM of NC - LS1 Fan Assembly - LS1 Fan Assembly (Spal Fans)
  • PCM of NC - Trailblazer/GMT 360 V8 Three Relay LS1 Fan Conversion Harness - P-030023
  • Stainless Works Cat-Back Exhaust System 2006-2009 Trailblazer SS - 842-TBCB
  • High Flow Catalytic Converter 3 Id Inlet 3 Od Outlet 3 1/2 Body Metallic Element Converter - 842-RTCMM Did not know I had. Thought it was a resonator.
Got the oil changed, replaced the plugs and put LS3 injectors in (He did them yesterday to verify that they are in good condition). Bringing an extra set of plugs to the dyno.

Knowing that the end result number is not going to be there since it is more than everyone is guessing I wanted to pick your minds on questions for the tuner.

  • Headwork
  • Cam
  • Intake
  • Injectors
  • Transmission converter (I got the stock)
  • Modifications to stock transmission
Suggestions?

Like what to do next?

You're at the point that trans work and a TC is highly recommended/necessary to make full use of the power you are going to make..

I'd be looking at heads next if you are wanting the next level.

You aren't going to be able to go too much (if any) bigger on the cam. My BTR that was a touch over .600 bent valves.

The TBSS intake has been proven to be a great performer in comparisons.

Ok I'm slightly confused now waiting on the tuner to show up.

Looking at the forum it says stock wheels weigh 38lbs.

Looked up my aftermarket rims and the shipping weight for 4 is 48lbs.

Someone's math is off.
