The Vette got sunk, but this thing was bone dry underneath. It was on a different part of the complex. The motorcycle tire in the picture is the back wheel/tire of a CanAm Spyder that is owned by the same guy who owns the Chevy.

You do not have to have "full coverage" to hold a comprehensive policy fwi. I have comprehensive on my bikes and my beater cars just to cover theft and acts of god. This may be different than texas so dont take my word for it.
