Easy, remove the antenna first then, pull the passenger side cowl trim loose by popping out a few plastic push pins, unbolt the antenna base from the fender, put the antenna back on the base, wrap some tape or foam around the antenna mast rotate the base and slide the antenna under the edge of the trim between the windshield and wiper arm.

It completely disapears and the radio still works.

I removed my antenna completely and use an fm modulator for my mp3 player.. Putting the fm modulator right underneath the radio in the coin dish or whatever its for works awesome; no more shitty Florida gospel stations cuttin in on my music.

I just took the antenna off because I only listen to CD's and XM. To cover the threaded section left from the antenna I just bough some black rubber caps from Lowes...a 5 pack is like 92 cents...you would never know it was ever there

Thanks for this suggestion. I know it is an old thread, but I just got around to doing it. Great idea. Saves me the money of buying a stubby and gets rid of the giant mast on the front of the truck. Doesn't seem to have disrupted reception either! Again, great thinking.

BINGO! Thats exactly what mine looks like. It's about time I did something right the first time to this damn truck. Then again, how could you really screw it up LOL? It's definetly a nice free mod.
