Well the wife finally decided to take the SS out and start racing. Turns out she had so much fun she wants to keep doing it! We werent really sure what we were doing as far as the launching goes and it wasnt till we got home and I looked up techniques that I saw we were doing it wrong. We were trying to build the rev's to 1700-1800rpm's at the line but found out later that just kicks in the torque management more. We also had it in drive instead of 3rd.

Our best run of the night was a [email protected] with both of us in it. We couldnt get better then a 2.25 60' though.

We are going to be doing mods in stages so I will keep updating with the progress. Stages I am thinking of are:

1. ADM intake and tune
2. Stall and servo's
3. E-fan, and UDP
4. Cams

What do you think?

Don't get too discouraged...I ran 14.371 my first time out. Alot depends on weather/track conditions etc.

Stage list is good, but I would swap 2 with 3. At least that is the path I have/am taken. I have not run at the track yet with all these bolt-on mods, but hopefully will get in some runs next weekend. I plan on doing the stall/servos etc. next before cam.

Your run was pretty good. These trucks pretty much drive themselves, you are going to only shave off 2 or 3 tenths with technique. You will learn that DA is a major factor, for example my first time out with the SS was only a dismal 14.99 with a DA somewhere around 4500.

The weather has alot to do with it! I'm reluctant to go in the summer time. My truck lost a solid 2 + tenths from the nice weather we have here in january to the hot muggy crap we have now.

Well it was at night and the weather isnt overly hot here yet. Also we have no humidity. I can see where it would suck for you guys though.

That elevation isn't helping... Just to show how weather affects E/Ts, I rana 15.01 at 6:45 and at 9:30 I ran a 14.5. Weather in the south sucks for drag racing... not to mention the 124 degree reading on the track...
