I probably already know the answer but thought someone here might have another solution.
My truck came from Michigan and I'm not sure if it was all the winter salt/chemical mix or some type of engine cleaner that "pitted", "oxidized" or whatever you want to call it, all of the aluminum under the hood. I'm sure alot of the guys up north know what I'm talking about.
Is there anything I can do other than just taking everything off, bead blasting and maybe painting?

Thanks

I know what you're talking about being as I grew up in N Iowa. You could try to do some "clean up" by using a dremel, die grinder etc while its still on the motor. I've thought about taking it all off and powdercoating after a quick bead blast. You might have to come down to Danny's one day and we all take a look at it.
