What settings are you guys using to get your EFans to run properly? Mine currently run the entire time.

I have the same setup as NorCal, using LS1 fans and a TuneTime harness.

I know I read somewhere that you use the "Discrete" function in the fan settings, but I am unclear as to where to go from there.

Thanks.

Do you have HP Tuners? I can help you set it up over the phone if you do.

Ohh. post HPT screen shots please!! I am getting e-fans soon (well, TTP is waiting on brackets I guess). If you can't post screen shots, please post the settings you would want to input.

Depending if you added the extra pin in the ecm for Fan 2 then either use discrete 1 or 2. Here is my setup for 06, work with the key off also. I up'ed the run time with IGn off on my last flash, can be set to whatever you want. I also have a 07 setup if need be.
Will this work on a 07 SS???
Or could you email or post the o7 setup??

Thanks
Ross

Mine is an 06, but I think that the second setup is what I need. I did not affix anything to the ECM, but am running off of one wire on the factory plug.

Thanks for the help AllBlk

OK...so I can clear this up for me...

The instructions posted for the 2006 require the addition of the pin out on the ECM. The instructions for the 2007 are powered by a wire from the original factory plug.

I have a 2006, but am running off of a single wire from the factory plug. Are the settings listed above for the 2007 not compatible with what I am running?

Thanks.

I know this is an old thread. I am going to post to make it clearer for anyone that stumbles across this tread looking for help.

The reason people add a wire and pin to the factory plug is to get a secondary control for fan two.

Some LS1 kits run both fans off the original control wire that was used for the mechanical fan. (tuning required)

Some kits run the first fan off the original wire and the second fan off the newly added pin mentioned above. (tuning required also).

This pin is different for 06 and 07. I dont know about 08 as the only 08 I saw had a thermo non electric clutch fan.

So as far as I know all 06 and 07 wiring should be the same as long as you are NOT running dual fan control.

Feel free to correct me if i am wrong. I plan to add a full mod fan schematic to the shootout site soon.

Are you using the one wire to control a relay? The guy who put Matt's fans in wired one wire to the harness, that goes into a little control devices that connects to two relays, one for each fan, and they both come on together.

The issue is they do not come on at the setpoints I put in...always, sometimes they do and sometimes not.

What do you think they did?

I dont know if this is ideal but it works.

The whole "state" thing is confusing.

I did this on HakMazters SS a couple weeks ago.

But this WILL trigger the single wire control for LS1 fans and run single or dual fans (relays) as long as you are bringing both on at once.
