When getting rid of the antenna, a lot of people talk about painting the stud black, removing the stud.. blah blah......

just buy a black rubber screw cover from a hardware store and put it on. its better than painting it. looks good too!!

Thats what me and the ol lady did with our TBSS's. No one has notice it yet. Sometimes I even forget there is something there.

did you remove the ant completely or just tuck it under the plastic?

we took ours compleatly off

it just kinda lays there under the cowl. You do re-attatch the antenna though. So you can still pick up reception.

I saw that other post about cutting about 11 1/2" off the stocker. I did that and like the results...just needed to reattach the ball at the top and repaint. Billet would bee cool too.

Does the hidden one in the cowl rattle?

Dunno. I never checked, but I'm sure we prolly dont. I dont think I've listened to the radio since I've had this truck. IPOD, AVIC-Z1 w/ XM. No need for radio.
