I have a 2006 AWD TBSS and and it has a leak on the drivers side diff seal. I read on the trailvoy forum that 4WD guys were pulling the wheel, brake caliper, rotor, and getting the axle out of the diff to remove and replace the seal with P/N GM 14271618. So, my question is, is the procedure and part the same for the TBSS, or if not, how does it differ, or how do I go about replacing this seal?

Thanks in advance.

I posted the 3 different seals and pictures on one or the TBSSOwners FB group threads on Friday. That's not the part # I used.

Anybody have insight as to whether or not the process for repair is the same or not?

It's the same housing with different gears in it. So yea the process is the same for the driver side part of the diff

I had this go bad on me. I had to do that to get to the seal. It's pressed in from the factory so it is a bit of a pain to get out. Take your time it is doable.
