Hi everyone..

I have read a few posts here and on trail-voy regarding the DRL disable mod.
I am wondering if there are any members that can chime in to advise if there is a DRL disable mod for a 2007 TBSS that was made for Canada.

 the difference with a Canadian model is  the headlights are ALWAYS ON and on full power when in gear.
Day or night…

 Also of note  the headlight switch is irrelevant on my truck…I can turn it left to right…headlights do not change at all…they are ALWAYS on.

I would really like to be able to drive with my fogs and parking lights only during the day….and manually turn on my headlights dusk till dawn…

Thanks for the support!!!

Frank (from North of the border).

Are you 100% positive there is 12V at the headlight in DRL mode?
Do you want to disable auto headlight as well?

YEs - i am pretty sure that it is 12v (full power) as prior to installing my HIDS the headlights were same level brightness...and also the HIDS never flicker + the headlights are at same intensity with headlight switch off-on...

I would like to disable auto headlight as well...

the headlight switch in my truck does not do a thing...either on or off..
day or night..

thanks for your help!!

This should get you what you want. Using this method will prevent your headlamps from flashing when you push unlock on the keyfob.

At the BCM, locate the Pink/White wire in pin A5 of the gray connector.

BCM Connector 1 (GY)

Cut the PK/WH wire.
The half of the PK/WH wire that is going into the BCM will not be used and can be taped off.
The other half of the PK/WH wire needs to be connected to the white wire in pin F9 of the TAN BCM connector. Do not cut the white wire. Just tap the PK/Wh wire into the White wire.

BCM Connector 2 (TN)

Yes. Your headlights just wont flash when you press unlock on the keyfob. If you want to keep your headlight flash, you can add a relay.

So ..could i confirm with everyone if their DRL activates their

---> High or Low beams?

I ask because i suspect that the TBSS in Canada is somewhat different in this case.

On my car it is the low beam at 100% power.

Thanks again..

I was just thinking!! -> Ssimple route here.

I have HID kits in my headlights and fogs...

I could swap the the leads on the ballasts from the fogs and headlights!!?!!?
They are all 35 watt...

If i need the headlights on or off, i rotate the fog switch on our turn signal bar and VOILA!!

Am i missing something....or does this make sense ?!?!

My fogs would be on as my DRL (which is what i want) and my running lights would not be affected either..

Could there be any issues doing this??

Thanks again...

On the US models, DRL is low beams at 85%

If you want your fogs to be your running lights, do this:

Go back to the PK/WH wire you cut in half and taped off. Gray connector, pin A5. (This half of the PK/WH wire should be going into the BCM connector)

Now find the D-GN/WH wire in the tan connector, pin E11.

Connect the PK/WH wire to the D-GN/WH wire but DO NOT cut the D-GN/WH wire in half.

That should take care of it. This will also flash your fogs when you push unlock on your keyfob at night.
