I've ran a cutout on my truck since it was pretty much new. In the 1/8 mi, it's good for a solid tenth and a mph every time over my Magnaflow muffler and stock res. set-up. Haven't tested it in the 1/4 yet.

I've been using cutouts for years, and they are the absolute best compromise for all-out performance and docile, quiet daily driving manners. My truck is dead quiet on the street, and is perfect for roadtrips, but any time I hit the track, the cutout is uncapped. I have a manual one, and they're only $30.

I've never seen a cutout help any if it's after the stock cats. Actually makes it slower, the backpressure of the exhaust helps build some torque.

Now IF you add long tube headers and cutouts, then yeah it'll help.

lol....then you've never put one on a 4th gen f-body or these trucks, or countless other vehicles apparently. In similar weather conditions, it's been proven over and over that a cutout is worth a a good tenth and half to 2 tenths, and about the same mph over a STOCK catback, and that's with the cutout after the cats.
