I'm rebuilding my engine after I snapped a rod. I'm installing all new bearings and I've checked my clearances. My main bearings with plastic gauge is as followed:
#1=.002, #2=.001, #3=.002, #4=.002, #5=.002. I went ahead and put the thrust bearing cap on and without the bolts in it, my crank will NOT spin. I was using 5w30 oil when installing the caps. I removed the #3 thrust bearing cap, tried #4 cap and again without the bolts, the crank will not spin. Any ideas on what would be causing the crank to lock up like that?
