I have been searching around for a better brake fitment. I've seen different kits mentioned here such as Baer which I can't afford. I have seen where Z06 calipers or ZR1 calipers are used. Not sure what would fit, what adaptations would be needed, or if anything else would fit. I will be doing a motor rebuild soon. I have factory 20's on the truck now. As for motor rebuild probably around 650-700 hp natural aspirated (guess). I would like to use a 4 piston caliper. Any help would be great.

Protip for ya…. More pistons means NOTHING in improving your 60-0 speeds. Upgrading to say the silverado 4pots are appearance only mods.

Tires stop the car. Period. They provide the friction to stop. That single handily will improve 60-0 more than any other brake related item.

Once you step into larger rotors, than we can talk about additional leverage and clamping force to slow you down, and when you’re on #3 or # 6 60-0 panic stops, that larger rotor will be able to absorb the heat and maintain more consistency over a stock sized rotor.

But it also goes back tires and friction as once they slip, youre not slowing down. And any modern braking system can lockup tires(with abs disabled)

So what does this all mean? Get the stickiest tires you can afford. Get some high friction brake pads, proper bleed and flush your fluids with cycling the and motors, and ss lines. Those are solid upgrades.

later if youre still not satisfied, often due to a soft feeling pedal, go hydroboost. I want to find a GM master cylinder that is 1/16 larger to do the same thing for pedal feel, but that project has stalled
