I got some rotorpros slotted rotors coated in black zinc....can anyone tell me what the point in having them coated with this if it comes off as soon as the pads touch the rotor.....I didn't know it would come off that easy...dumb...love the rotors tho!

Brakes will keep the part where it rubs off clean. They are coated so the rest stays looking good. Might not last more than a year or two if you live in a salt state. The winters will eventualy kill them.

Protects everything but the area where the pads hit. Why would you expect a coating to last where its clamped by a brake pad?
