Im interested in HID's that would provide a very stock look to the truck... as far as brightness goes... i dont want a very blueish or purpleish kit that is noticeably aftermarket... any suggestions?

4300 is like a factory BMW or Merc light. I run 5000 on my DD silverado and like that color best. I have 6000K on the TBSS which are slightly blue, but will probably go 5000K on it when the bulbs need replacing.

4300k

I have Philips bulbs in mine but they aren't cheap at 95 bucks a pair
You can't get Philips bulbs in a 9006, 9005 or 880/893...you have D2S bulbs which are the only way you can get them...other than D2R and D1S and the related bulbs of OEM type...

Sorry to thread-jack here but one quick question. If I have Mike (jetttstream)'s kit, but need to change the bulbs, would there be a problem if I went somewhere else (like DDM) to just purchase the bulbs, as far as connection goes?

Go 4300. Only downside is light will scatter everywhere. If you want a "stock" HID look, do a retrofit, use "stock" parts from Lexus/Acura/BMW etc.
