Bringing this back from the dead. Anyone ever tried one of these? What were your experiences? How will a built 70 handle a brake? Any down falls to having a brake? I have never had a car with one so not sure what to expect.

I like it.
My tuner really wanted me to have this put in my 70 and I said no way. This would be a quick way for me to really start breaking shit. I think our trucks are way to heavy for this kind of shock. :2cents:

Carlos what kind of power were y'all making in that truck and what rpm were you dropping it at? I take it that everything held up ok?

John while I tend to agree with you especially with yours being awd. I think you might hurt some front drive components before the trans got hurt. I'm 2wd with a LV7 I'm really curious if the trans would hold up inline being 2wd?

I have never had a brake so can you tell me if you have to drive it any different? Is the trans still a full auto? I have a buddy with a 400 with a brake I know a different animal but his is a full manual and you have to push a button for reverse. Also he says it's hard on the brake to flog on the gas during daily driving. Any insight y'all can give me on this?

We left like at 5k never put the truck on the dyno so not sure on power but was putting down 1.5s 60ft...... that night we did like 4 passes all on the tb trannyheld up vvery well, tranny had all billet internals changed the planetary, tranny had all the goodies. I would drive the truck to the track and back, around town and all drove the same. We would activate the tb with a switch, we beat it pretty hard for about a month every Wednesday here at the track. We removed that tranny about 2 years ago and was sold, if I am not mistaken it is still holding up in the truck that has it now

Yea coverter was changed after that night we had it trap in the mid teens. I think it had way more than 350 specially if it would have the power to beat a car that had 356 hp and maybe about 1k lighter.....truck took my car in the street Tim pretty bad and non of this me gaining on top

But back to the tb we loved the way it worked for us....I would not do it on my tbss though
