Hmmmm...did a search to see if someone brought up the 2019 Blazer. Did not find any thread on this issue.

I know it is nowhere near being in the same class as TBSS, but just as Ford is bringing a ST version of the Explorer (400+ hp, RW based platform, 10 speed transmission), I would hope that GM is thinking of competing with the Ford Explorer ST and the Durango SRT.

Curious what you guys think of the Blazer..

TBH, there was a tear in my eye when I saw pictures of it...yes, it is ugly..

but it does give GM a chance to surprise us...notice the current name is Blazer... imagine a 2021 model with the name Trailblazer...given us that model, with a v8, all wheel drive and the same 10 speed transmission. Wishful thinking I know, but hell, we got Ted from a wish, right?

A uni-body is not a Blazer. GM ruining another one of their model names.

Same reason I took off my SS badges.. found out that SS meant nothing anymore when I saw GM put a SS badge on a cobalt, what a joke that was!

I was really hoping it was going to be rear wheel drive with a frame and maybe even a v8, but GM screwed it up again. They didn't need a slightly bigger equinox or slightly smaller traverse. I really hate Ford, but even they are going the right direction with the 2020 Explorer.

Ive been a die hard Gm guy for 15 years but I’ve fallen out of love. Everything they have come out with in the last 10 years has been pretty terrible and over priced. The Camaros are ok the Vettes are always good but everything else has been pure shit.

Hell a bought my wife a dodge truck because gm is just way to far behind for me to wait for their 1500 diesel.

That new blazer is awful and puts the name to complete shame.

I don't imagine GM has even the slightest interest in competing with the Durango or Jeep SRT. This ship has sailed. Give it up!
